The GBH is the largest species of heron found in North America. This large wading bird hunts with a harpoon-like beak. They mostly eat fish, but will eat anything it can get its beak on, even gophers and other birds! So be thankful they aren't pterodactyl sized, because they would eat us too. Yay!
Starting this first bird of the month strong with one of my favorite birds!
The Shoebill Stork(not really a stork) is known for their huge beak & prehistoric, intimidating appearance. Despite its looks, they're docile towards humans, and can even develop bonds with them. So don't be scared!
